Synopsis

Written in disciplined screenplay format with literary scene descriptions, The Redacted Script puts the reader directly in the projector booth of the Apollo Theater. When censor Heinrich Brandt runs the mysterious nitrate reels, he discovers that the empty silhouettes left by the blade correspond to living people who disappeared from their apartments forty-eight hours after the film was shot.
